My afternoon

Well, I headed off to the local hospital's A&E Dept (St.Mary's, Paddington) about 12:30 pm. At 15:10 I got seen. I was then told off by the doctor for coming to the A&E Dept at all. I should have gone to my GP, she said. My GP is crap and never open and even when it is you're not allowed just to turn up, I said. Get a different GP then, she said. The NHS is truly rubbish, I thought to myself. Much more so than it was even 5 years ago.

It is a sign of this, I think, that I was actually pretty grateful to be seen after a mere 2 and a half hours.

Anyway, the news is: I have a temperature and classic streptococcyl tonsillitis. I will be taking 2 grams of erythromycin daily for 10 days. I had to go back to the hospital pharmacy because they only gave me half of the ordered dose. I spotted at the lift that 4 x 2 tablets x 10 days does not equal 40 tablets in total.

I really just want to be at home in bed reading. :o(

But at least I have antibiotics now! :o)
